How can we create a more equitable environment in sport, particularly in relation to gender?

Sports and sporting environments have historically been strictly gendered. Graduate students at KPE are invited to a conversation discussing the various ways gender roles and ideals show up in sport.

Topics of discussion will include:

  • How do practices in sport serve to reinforce gender roles? When do they challenge them?

  • What purpose do gendered physical activity serve?

  • How can more inclusive sporting practices be created?
