“You play with your soul as well as your body.”
- Kareem Abdul Jabbar, NBA Professional

What does it mean to play with your body and soul? What is the role of spirituality in athleticism and excellence? How does bringing your soul to the game intersect with identity?

Join us for an insightful discussion on November 14 from 6 - 8 p.m., where Herbie Kuhn, long time Raptors announcer and Team Chaplain to the Toronto Raptors and other MLSE teams will be in conversation with Shireen Ahmed, broadcaster, sports analyst, social justice champion. The evening will begin with an introduction from Varsity Blues athlete Liam Cousineau and will include an interactive Q & A after the discussion.

This event is co-organized by the University of Toronto’s Multi-Faith Centre, Hart House Black Futures, and U of T Mississauga's Interfaith and Spirituality program.
