Writing Retreat for Graduate Students: Writing in Balance

Writing Retreat for Graduate Students: Writing in Balance

Write, relax, repeat — and give your November Reading Week a great start with this grad student writing retreat, which is all about writing in balance.

In this online retreat, graduate students will learn to write with greater ease. We will write — a lot — and also rest, relax and rebalance. Come with a writing project, a desire to produce, and a willingness to learn or try a few optional mind-body activities (yoga, meditation, mind-body connection), and a session to learn an Indigenous tool toward working in balance. The goal is for you to finish with a piece of writing, a calm state of mind, and some new techniques to sustain both.

Facilitated by senior grad student peer facilitator Jessica Thorp, learning strategist Andrea Graham, and Indigenous learning strategist Bonnie Jane Maracle, and expert guests.
